Would you know what to do in an emergency? Red Cross first aid and CPR/AED courses will teach and help you remember the valuable, life- saving skills you’ll need to respond in an emergency. All of our courses have easy-to-understand instructions and skill practice sessions. We offer a range of courses for the community and workplace.
Adult CPR with First Aid
Learn how to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults. Gain the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent, recognize and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. This course is also offered just as Adult CPR.
Adult, Infant and Child CPR with First Aid
This course trains individuals how to help prevent and recognize the symptoms of sudden illness and injury, and how to provide basic care. The training also gives participants the knowledge and skills to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory and cardiac emergencies in adults, infants and children until more advanced medical personnel arrive and takes over. This class is perfect for child-care workers, expectant parents, grandparents, and anyone who cares for children and infants.
AED Training (Automated External Defibrillator)
This is a course that is added on to many of our Adult and Child CPR classes to enhance life-saving skills. Individuals are trained on when an AED is necessary and how to operate an AED in case of a sudden cardiac emergency.
First Aid Basics
Introduces participants to the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic first aid care for injuries and sudden illnesses until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. This course does not include information on breathing or cardiac emergencies.
Emergency Response
Lectures, discussion and simulated emergency situations give course participants the knowledge and skills necessary to work as a first responder in an emergency. First responders are individuals who have a duty to respond and provide a crucial link in the emergency medical services system (EMS).
CPR for the Professional Rescuer
Teach professional rescuers (those with a duty to respond) the skills needed to respond appropriately to respiratory and cardiac emergencies in adult, infants and children. This course contains more advanced knowledge and skills than our community level training courses.
