Support the Life-saving Programs and Services of Your Red Cross
HEROES campaigns are exciting three-week, community-based fundraisers that support the life-saving programs and services of the American Red Cross, Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter.
Here’s how they work:
- Local residents volunteer to be Red Cross HEROES. Each HERO pledges to raise and/or donate $1000 for the Metro Atlanta Chapter (approximately 65 HEROES are recruited in each county).
- HEROES can raise their contribution in their own creative way – by holding bake sales or car washes, collecting donations from friends or family, or by simply donating personal funds.
- Sponsors in each community help jump-start the campaign with lead gifts and help underwrite the cost of HEROES special events.
- At the end of the campaign, the HEROES, workers, sponsors and community supporters are recognized for their contributions to the work of the Red Cross.
Participating in a HEROES Campaign is a great way to help Metro Atlanta’s Red Cross meet its commitment to the community, both now and in the future. All donations support Red Cross programs and services.
